Forms of Chlorine-Based Water Disinfectant

As you well know, the three forms of chlorine-based water disinfectants are

  • Gaseous chlorine; Which is prone to the challenges of dangers, risks, and power requirements,
  • Powder chlorine; which has leftover residue of undissolved consistency of the compound even when dosed through a dosing VAT, and
  • Liquid chlorine; the most powerful and advanced chlorine-based water disinfection product.

Our HB Solution is liquid chlorine because it presents the best option in handling, associated occupational risk, flow control, and availability, and besides it has no residue but a regular flow in VAT, Tanks, and Pipelines.

It is Metastable and Maintains Residual Chlorine., and especially it is Eighty to Hundred times (80-100) stronger than the disinfectant generated through gaseous and powder chlorine which is currently used to disinfect water in Nigeria.

    ECHA (European Chemicals Agency): Every manufacturer must be registered in this substance list. To obtain this entry, the product is tested for its effect and safety.
HB Solution uses 21 different oxidising agents, of which the main active ingredient is stabilised hypochlorous acid.
  • Hypochlorous acid (HOCl) is a mild acid that is naturally produced in the white blood cells of all mammals.
  • It plays an important role in our immune system. It produces oxchlorine molecules, such as hypochlorous acid, when the body reacts to incipient infections. As a result, pathogens are killed by oxidation and chlorination.
  • HOCl has the property of decomposing cell walls of unicellular microorganisms, such as bacteria and viruses, by denaturing the proteins of the pathogenic cell walls with reactive oxygen species. Higher organised cell structures, such as human tissue, are not affected because they have developed protective mechanisms that make them insensitive to hypochlorous acid.

How  to use HB Solution with various water trypologies?

  • By Tytration: 
  • On Surface Water: Pour 1 Liter of HB Solution into 1,000 Liters of Surface water (e.g, Rain water, Streams, Dams, Lakes);
  • On Underground Water: Pour 1 Liter of HB Solution into 3,000 to 4,000 Liters of underground water (e.g, Borehole water);
  • On Treated and Filtered Water : Pour 1 Liter of HB Solution into 6,000 Liters of treated
    water(e.g, Surface water, underground water and treated water);
